The transition from MetLife to Farmers has been very painful. Farmers customer service is extremely horrible. Not only do you have to wait 35-45 mins. to connect with a live person once you are connected the agent has no idea how to fix any issues. I ended up cancelling my policies and moved to another company. Unfortunately Farmers continues to bill me and when I call they state my policies have been cancelled and I should not be charged but the charges continue. Extremely frustrating – even when asked to speak with a supervisor I was told no one available. Do your own research before joining – I’d advise against it.

Went With Farmers On First Home Owned
Went with Farmers on first home owned and it had shake shingle roof. High premium but all companies are with this roofing. They offered best price at 70% coverage. Hail damage in the first year of ownership. We had repplacement quoted and they valued it at 70% of the replacement so covered 70% of that less a high deductible because wind and hail are an exception to the standard deductible. In the end they paid 40% of what replacement cost is.

Don’t hire Joseph Cesario from Tinley Park, Il.as your Farmers Insurance agent. To keep this short my agent was still deducting monthly amounts on my home after I sold my house. He also was deducting monthly payments after my policy expired and I left the company.He wouldn’t provide any statements that I requested because farmer doesn’t send you those to your website account. He deducts monies without providing a billing statement. He also told me he is not sure that I am having any issues seeing the information on the website. You could never get in touch with him. I believe he has a fulltime job and this is a side job. I am still waiting for information and monies owed me.

I called Farmers multiple times within 3 days, Twice I reached a live person just to be transferred and placed on hold. My hold times averaged up to be 4 hours and 10 minutes with not one question answered! I sent a request for a return phone call, I never got the call. This is the WORST home insurance company I ever had.I wanted to canceled a policy for one of my homes. I kept on calling and they say their system is not working therefore you have to wait 30 to 50 minutes on the phone. After that long wait they hung up the phone. You can not talk to anybody. My auto insurance rate went from $50.00 per month to $85.67, I have no citations, no claims, and even though I have asked why several times about the rate increase, I have gotten no explanation! So I bought insurance from Progressive. I’m back in the $50.00 a month range. Now I’m trying to get the money back that Farmers took from my debit card. They took the money AFTER they notified me about not being able to take money off of my debit card! I want my money back! Farmers Sucks!
